From Pinochle to Old Maid, there's great games, and a ton of surprises. My 7 year old loves the face-maker and we always create our own faces when playing the card games. The actual card play is quick, clean and sophisticated. There's even a list of chartacters you can play with, and the all are animated, talk, and you get to use their skill level. I find Elaine to particilulary irritating, but a great partner.
In today's world of video gasmes, it seems that younger people are addicted to the gimmicky play and whistles and balloons. Hoyle Card Games has the basic great games, plus awesome graphics, backgrounds and special effects.
Bottom Line: It's a great gift for anyone who loves top play cards or a beginner. Just go get it!
