Yoot Tower is a huge improvement on Sim Tower. I don't mind restrictions to elevators, it just adds to the fun :-D. I haven't been able to find any type of cheat program or such for Yoot Tower, but I guess it's better off left to having to fend for yourself. I was quite pleased with the inclusion of actual stores. Every new concept that was added, like a transformer room, just added to the realness. I always love the real feeling of games. The only part I do hate that I don't find takes away from the fun is that Sega dropped the game pretty quickly, so now I'm stuck here wanting more, even though Sega isn't planning more :-(. AND Sega's Yoot Tower site YootTower.com isn't Sega's site anymore... another one up for grabs.
Description of Yoot Tower
Yoot Tower lets you manage the ultimate microcosm of urban living: the skyscraper. Named after its designer (Yoot Saito), the game offers three environments you can build in, each with specific challenges. Building a tower in Tokyo will let you stack up to 100 floors, catering to a population of office workers and local residents. The more challenging Waikiki location limits you to creating 45 floors in a tropical paradise where you keep tourists and local merchants happy. Lastly, the gorgeous Kegon Falls throws you a real curve by telling you to build underground in order to preserve the landscape's integrity.The game's cutaway perspective gives you an unhindered ant-farm-style view of your building as you decide how to build and which tenants live where. Simple overlays and mood indicators will let you know how you're doing; if tenants' silhouettes turn red (meaning they're stressed), you might improve life by building a movie theatre (including viewable trailers), or smooth out access between floors. Population growth and VIP visits boost your tower's rating, opening up more options for you to build. The interface is a little scattered, but it doesn't keep Yoot Tower from daring you to aspire to becoming an architect extraordinaire. --Jack Gardiner
Yoot Tower for Mac turns you loose with towers. This is the simulation/strategy sequel to SimTower, and the towers can get as complex as you want.
